Crash Landing on You on Netflix

I started watching this drama twice and left it for some of the other dramas I reviewed in this blog.  But the third time, I finally watched it from the beginning.

Hyun Bin's part was so manly and strong.  and  Son Ye-Jin played beautifully the part of a successful business woman who had to come down to earth literally in a nation that was simple, kind and very humble.

It portrayed North Koreans as people who have the same emotions as people all over the world.  They love to laugh, love, sing, dance and of course eat.

What was nice in this drama that you saw at least four cameos of really big Korean stars playing a taxi driver, a secret agent, a movie star and a taxi driver.  Other notables were Captain Ri's father, actor Jeon Kuk-Hwan who is seen in many KDramas.

Korean Dramas generally a well thought out stories with many twists and turns that somehow connect the characters together with destiny.  And, most of the time, although the leads fall in love, you never see them actually get married. It is left to the imagination.

The scenery was gorgeous when they went on location to portray Switzerland which probably was not Switzerland.  What is memorable is Captain  RI played by Hyun Bin and perhaps he will be seen in many more upcoming Kdramas.

👍👍👍👍  Four out of Five thumbs up for an entertaining, emotional story with great acting and characters that make you cry, laugh and worry about. Would get five stars if I knew that the circumstances of this incident happening between North and South Korea was based on reality, rather than fantasy.  I kept wondering if that's true that the North would be kind to their soldiers leaving the North as they did, overstaying their time in the South, and so much mafia like activity happening in the North sponsored by businessmen in the South.  Is that real?
