THE GLAMOUROUS IMPERIAL CONCUBINE

I thought I saw this drama before. So, I ignored it on Netflix. Once there was nothing else I was interested in watching I thought why not watch this one again! And guess what? It was a Chinese Historic Costume drama that I must have overlooked. The Glamourous Imperial Concubine is a wonderful story of a young lady who is of a child of a prominent family who was falsely accused and killed. As a young child she escapes with her little brother who is separated from her and they both grow in different families. Her aunt was able to get her into the palace as a child in training to be a servant to the Crown Prince. It is fascinating weave of relationships and experiences as she grows from a child into a young maid in training to serve in one of the palaces in under the King. It is worth watching and it has love, betrayal, restoration, and many other emotional events that causes the viewers to want to binge view with program. Not only that, the casing if excellent. Every member is truly believable! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 

Another note, this must have been one of the early dramas of Walter Huo.  He has since done so many top notch dramas in China.

WEAVING A TALE OF LOVE ON VIKI

I am recommending this Chinese Drama because of the story line. The two main characters played by Gulnezer Bextiyar (Kudi LiuLi/ Xian Dou Zi) and Timmy Xu (Pei Xing Jian) catches your interest right away. Although sometimes the character Kudi Liuli is unbelievable as a girl posting as a boy because she is too pretty, it all plays well into the storyline of that era when dress as a boy you were a boy. Timmy Xu please Pei Xing Jian excellently as did the actors who played the parts of the Eunuch Sun De Cheng and Crown Prince Li Zhi. It is 40 episodes and you can't stop watching. The ending is very beautiful for once. There are quite a bit of nailbiting tense scenes but truth prevails. Get out the popcorn and kleenex and enjoy this drama!

VINCENZO

VINCENZO STARRING Song Joong-Ki. I decided to watch this because of Song Joong-Ki. And, I wasn't disappointed. The character Vincenzo is suave, handsome, smart and daring. It reminds me of 007 and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It is the best role since Descendants of the Sun because it showcases his talents but also his looks. The cast of characters are interesting and maybe a little predictable but the main star is Song Joong-Ki. He really pulls it off. I think you will enjoy watching this new TV series. I have only seen the first 4 episodes but I like what I am seeing and hopefully the fans of Joong-Ki will like it as well. So pop come homemade popcorn and enjoy this latest TV drama on Netflix.
